Privacy Policy
Usmory is a shared calendar for two partners. It only works if your data stays between the two of you, so we keep as little as we can, share nothing with advertisers, and let you decide what your partner sees.
Who is responsible
Usmory is made by Driezie Studio (Jelte Cost) in the Netherlands, the controller of your personal data under the GDPR. Questions, requests or complaints:
What Usmory stores
Only what you add or turn on yourself:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Account: email address, or your Apple ID when you use Sign in with Apple; a password only as a secure hash | To sign you in |
| Profile: username, display name, photo, birthday (optional) | So your partner recognises you; birthdays show on the shared calendar |
| Couple: who you are paired with, your “together since” date | To share a calendar and count anniversaries |
| Plans and events you create, to-do lists, notes, memories and their photo albums | The core of the app |
| Apple Calendar or Google Calendar events (title, start, end), only if you connect them | To show your calendar next to your partner’s and find time you’re both free |
| Moments: photos, short videos, drawings and messages you send | To show them to your partner and on their home-screen widget |
| Mood and quick check-ins (“On my way”) | To show them to your partner |
| Cycle data (period start dates, average lengths), only if you use this feature | To estimate phases for you; shared only if you choose |
| Location, only if you turn on location sharing; only your latest position, never a history; and places you save, such as “Home” | To show your partner where you are, and that you arrived at a saved place |
| Notification settings: which notifications you turned off | So we only send the ones you want |
| Technical tokens: a push-notification token, a widget token, and AI connection tokens you create (stored hashed) | To deliver notifications, refresh the widget, and let an AI you connect read your calendar |
We do not collect advertising identifiers, contacts, browsing data or analytics about how you use the app.
What your partner sees
- Shared plans, moments, shared lists, memories and albums are visible to both of you.
- Your personal events are visible to your partner unless you mark them “busy only”. Synced Apple or Google events show only as busy time unless you turn on “Show titles to my partner”.
- Your notes are visible to your partner unless you mark them private.
- Cycle data is private by default. You can share nothing, only today’s phase, or everything.
- Location is off by default. You choose off, approximate (about 1 km and the city only) or precise, and you can pause it at any time. Turning it off or pausing deletes your stored position immediately.
- Nobody outside your couple can see your data. When you unpair, you stop seeing each other’s data at once.
Google Calendar
If you connect Google Calendar, Usmory reads the events in your calendars (title, start and end) to show them next to your partner’s calendar and to find free time, and, only if you turn on “Add my plans to Google”, adds the plans you create in Usmory to your Google Calendar. Your Google sign-in is kept on our server, never on your phone, and you can disconnect at any time in the app, which deletes the synced events and the stored sign-in.
Usmory’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google data for advertising, do not sell it, do not let humans read it except with your permission or when the law requires it, and do not use it to train AI models.
Where your data lives and who helps us
Your data is stored with Supabase in the European Union (Ireland). Photos, videos and drawings sit in private storage and are only shown through links that expire within hours. We use these service providers, each only for the task listed:
- Supabase: database, sign-in, file storage and server functions.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, push notification delivery, and the map shown in the location widget.
- Expo: passes push notifications on to Apple. A notification contains a short text such as “Sanne sent you a drawing”.
- Google: only if you connect Google Calendar, as described above.
- Vercel: hosts this website and passes the Google sign-in back to our server.
We never sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.
Connecting an AI assistant
If you create an AI token in Settings, an AI app you choose (such as Claude) can read your and your shared calendar, notes and lists, and add plans. Nothing is shared with any AI unless you create a token, and you can revoke it at any time.
How long we keep data
- Until you delete it, or delete your account.
- Location: only your latest position, replaced on every update and deleted when you stop sharing.
- Synced calendar events: a window of about five weeks back and four months ahead, refreshed on every sync and removed when you disconnect the calendar.
- When both partners leave a couple, its shared plans, moments, lists and memories are deleted.
Your rights
You can see, correct and delete most of your data in the app, and delete your whole account under Settings → Delete account. Shared plans, lists and albums then stay with your partner; everything else of yours is deleted. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing the address above; we answer within 30 days. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Children
Usmory is meant for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children younger than that.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and tell you in the app when the change matters.
